[English]

Food security is a fundamental need for the growth and development of any country, which has a comprehensive concept and is determined by the coordination of economic, social, political, biological, global, and other factors. Therefore, it is very important to identify the factors affecting the food security of countries. The current research has investigated the role of globalization and democracy on the food security of 20 leading developing countries in the production of science from 2008 to 2021. To analyze the results, the dynamic panel model estimated by the method of generalized moments has been used. The FAO food security index is considered a food security variable, and the effect of economic, social, and political globalization variables, democracy, economic quality, inflation rate, and the amount of interruption of the food security variable have been investigated. The results of the research show that the variables of democracy, economic quality, and quantity with interruption of food security have a positive and significant effect on food security. Economic and political globalization has a negative and significant impact on the food security index, and the political globalization variable has had the greatest impact. On the other hand, the effect of social globalization on the food security of the studied countries has not been significant. It is recommended that politicians and decision-makers, in addition to controlling inflation and improving economic quality, improve democracy, and provide the conditions for a large increase in social relations in national and transnational borders.
