[English]

Considering the long-term effects of economic sanctions on production and consumption market conditions, several studies have investigated this effect in different fields. However, the issue of the effect of economic sanctions on the life cycle of pharmaceutical products as one of the important elements of the health field has not been the attention of researchers. In this regard, the present study examines the effect of economic sanctions on the life cycle of pharmaceutical products and for this purpose uses the system dynamics approach for modeling. Also, the life cycle of amoxicillin as the most important antibiotic consumed in the country during the period of 1381-1402 has been used as a case study. The results of this research show that the economic embargo by creating obstacles on the way of importing quality raw materials, technology and medical equipment causes the product life cycle to move down and reduces its overall consumption. Also, sanctions reduce investment in research and development and reduce the productivity of production factors as well as product quality. Finally, with the increase in the price of medicine due to the embargo and the restriction of its import, consumer satisfaction has decreased drastically and this has helped to accelerate the decline of medicine.
